Labour Recruitment Specialists CC (Registration No. CK1993/000255/23) is committed to protecting your personal information and to processing it lawfully in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). How we process your information

We apply the conditions for lawful processing set out in POPIA. In practice this means:

• we collect personal information for the clear purpose of providing recruitment services and matching candidates to employers;
• we only collect what is relevant and necessary for that purpose;
• we obtain your consent, and we let you choose what to share, including optional fields such as gender and race;
• we keep your information accurate by letting you update your profile at any time;
• we keep it only as long as needed (see the retention section of our Privacy Policy);
• we apply reasonable security safeguards; and
• we are transparent about how your information is handled.

Special personal information

Information about your race is "special personal information" under POPIA. We collect it only where you voluntarily provide it and consent to its use, and we use it solely for legitimate purposes such as Employment Equity and B-BBEE reporting. You are never required to provide it.

Sharing with employers

We do not sell your information and we do not share your personal contact details with employers through the Platform. Your professional profile is only made visible to registered employers when you choose to set your profile to Public.

Your rights as a data subject

• to be told what personal information we hold about you and to access it;
• to request correction or deletion of your information;
• to object to processing or withdraw your consent; and
• to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
