These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Labour Recruitment Specialists website and online platform (the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Labour Recruitment Specialists CC (Registration No. CK1993/000255/23) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Who we are
Labour Recruitment Specialists CC is a recruitment and staffing business based in South Africa. You can reach us at info@labourrecruitment.co.za or 031 261 7224.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register for and use a candidate account. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is true and accurate.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.
4. Your profile and content
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information, documents and files you add to your profile (including your CV, qualifications, work history and any supporting documents). You must not upload content that is false, misleading, unlawful, or that infringes another person's rights. By submitting content, you grant us permission to store and process it, and to display it to registered employers in line with your chosen profile visibility (see clause 5) and our Privacy Policy.
5. Profile visibility and employers
You control whether your profile is Public or Private. When your profile is set to Public, registered employers and recruiters may view your professional information so we can match you to opportunities. Your personal contact details are not shared with employers through the Platform; introductions are facilitated by us. When your profile is Private, it is not surfaced to employers.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or experience;
- upload viruses, malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other users' data;
- scrape, harvest or copy other users' information; or
- interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation or security.
7. Our services
We provide a platform to connect candidates with potential employers. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, or any particular outcome, and we are not the employer in respect of any placement unless expressly agreed in writing. Any employment relationship is between you and the relevant employer.
8. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, text, graphics and logos, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or reuse it without our prior written permission. You retain ownership of the content you upload.
9. Third-party links and services
The Platform may link to or rely on third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from inaccurate information supplied by users or third parties. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses or costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms. You may close your account at any time from your account settings; deletion of your data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
13. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy and our POPIA notice. Please read them carefully.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
